The 2024 Ally Badge

ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR 2024

Fostering ethical and equitable spaces for survivors.

Unlock the power of advocacy and allyship by joining SNNC in our mission to support survivors. We are thrilled to offer a unique partnership opportunity that allows organizations to receive an "ally" badge, symbolizing their commitment to building more equitable and inclusive spaces for survivors. By aligning with SNNC, partners gain exclusive recognition as a recognized ally within our survivor-led organization. This collaboration not only highlights your organization's role and social responsibility but also fosters a reputation for ethical survivor-centered engagement in the community.

Ally Commitments

1

Survivor Inclusivity

A commitment to create environments where survivors are heard, valued, and empowered.

2

Survivor Leadership

A commitment to recognizing survivors as leaders and to amplify their voices, expertise,  and input.

3

Survivor Compensation

A commitment to financial and economic empowerment of survivors through fair compensation.

One of the steps to becoming an SNNC ally is to pledge and commit to survivors of human trafficking. This commitment is constructed of three distinct pledges that amplify the equitable and ethical treatment of survivors.

ALLYSHIP Q&A

Learn more about our allyship program

01

What is an ally?

An ally for Survivor-Leadership in the Anti-Trafficking movement is an individual or organization that actively supports and amplifies the voices, perspectives, and initiatives of survivors of human trafficking. This ally recognizes the strength and resilience of survivors and commits to fostering an environment where survivors not only receive assistance but also play pivotal roles in shaping and leading efforts to combat human trafficking.

03

Is there a cost?

An annual support pledge is required to receive allyship with SNNC. It is more than a contribution; it's an investment in the voices and resilience of survivors. By becoming an ally, you actively support survivor-led initiatives, advocacy, and empowerment programs, fostering an environment where survivors emerge not just as beneficiaries but as leaders in the fight against human trafficking.

02

What steps do we have to take?

Allies must sign and commit to our three pledge initiatives for: survivor inclusivity, survivor-leadership, and survivor compensation. Allies must also submit a grievance policy, inclusivity statement, compensation policy, and proof of budget that supports survivors. In addition, a one time or monthly donation can be made to SNNC. Please contact us for more information on the application process.

04

What are the benefits of allyship?

Aside from directly contributing to survivor wellbeing there are many benefits to allyship. We offer exclusive trainings, workshops, and opportunities to work with SNNC through our allyship program. Additionally, we build relationships between survivors and organizations to create safe, inclusive, equitable and informed spaces for survivors to work in the field.
